Eternal Swan Vibrating Strapless Strap-on Review

Strap-on sex, harness play, and pegging are terms for sex that involves a dildo or vibrator being attached to a body part of one partner (the Top) and inserted into an orifice of another (the Bottom). It’s a ton of fun for all genders, both giving and receiving. There are many types of harnesses and an even greater variety of compatible toys, but some products combine both functions into one. These are called strapless strap-ons, and there are relatively few models available compared to the massive market of other sex toys. One end is a regular dildo or vibrator, while the other end is meant to be inserted into the wearer and remain there to hold the toy in place. The shape of the wearer’s end is usually bulbous and sometimes more ergonomic to fit snugly inside most vaginas during sex. The goal is that it stays in place without the aid of a harness, making it look and feel more realistic.

Most strapless strap-ons I find are quite large, with the inserted portion being approximately 8″ long and 5″ around, regardless of how realistic the phallic part is. They are super popular with women but are also great for pegging. While I don’t get to use them on women nearly often enough, I do get a lot of play in with eagerly willing men. Since most of these guys are new to anal play and prostate stimulation, a smaller toy is preferable. Fun Factory makes one version, the Small Share, which is only finger-sized, but I doubt it’s very functional.

Enter the Eternal Swan. This is the one Swan toy that is not part of the Jopen Vanity line in North America. Leave it to the Europeans to design such a much-needed toy! Here is a small, strapless strap-on, made for women with tighter genitalia and with a phallic end small enough for newbies to prostate stimulation to handle. The best part? It vibrates! It’s a luxury, dual-motor, double-ended strapless strap-on for women to penetrate their partners with a toy that seems to come right out of their bodies.

Materials and Design

The Eternal Swan is made of super-smooth, silky, fuchsia silicone, with a tiny, almost undetectable seam. Silicone is the preferred material for vibes because it’s totally impermeable—it won’t absorb STIs, bacteria, or fungus. Therefore, as long as it’s cleaned properly between users and/or orifices, it is safe to share. If you are using it with multiple partners or are still concerned about hygiene, you can simply slip a condom over either end. It does have a bit of drag, so I suggest using a good water-based lube. Avoid silicone lube, as it can deteriorate the toy (or, if you must insist, make sure to do a patch test first).

The shape and size are exactly what I’ve been raving about. The wearer’s end, the bulb, has a 4.5″ circumference, while the phallic end is only a maximum of 4″ around. The bulb is 2.75″ long, and the phallic end has an insertable length of 4.75″. I love how small it is! The bulb slips in without stretching me out, and the toy is light enough to stay put and not fall out like other strapless strap-ons. The phallic end has a tapered tip and is perfect for “stage 2” pegging. By that, I mean that first-timers usually go for toys as thick as your thumb, and this is the next stage after that.

I haven’t had a chance to try this with a woman, but I have used it as a dildo, holding the bulb as a handle, and I love it, although it is a bit firm. It doesn’t flex much—only the neck of the bulb flexes, and since that’s inside, the angle of the phallic end stays pretty much the same.

Vibration and Controls

One of the best parts about the Eternal Swan is that it has two strong internal motors controlled separately by two buttons placed right in the center on the bottom of the toy. When it’s inside you, you can easily reach down and adjust either button. The buttons are in the perfect spot and are not in a position to be accidentally bumped during use. While it doesn’t have patterns, I rarely use patterns anyway. You simply hold down either button until it reaches your desired strength. On my toy, the bulb motor is a bit rumblier, but both motors are strong and provide awesome vibrations. They both reach a 4/5 intensity and are whisper quiet at a 1/5 noise level. To turn it off, you simply push each button once. The vibrations reach the tip and are felt throughout the shaft on both ends, so if you are pegging, your partner will definitely feel the rumbles on their prostate.

Charging and Water Resistance

There are no batteries with this luxury toy. It’s rechargeable. Inside the box, you will find a wall charger—it’s the pin type, so no messing with finicky magnets. I will say that if you have an aversion to needles, you may not like this charger, as you need to apply a fair amount of pressure to get the pin in place. Charge it overnight the first time, and after that, for about 3 hours. You will get a ton of use out of the Eternal Swan on just one charge, up to 7 hours, but this depends on the speed and whether you are using both motors. Each button lights up red when charging, so you know it is engaged. The charger came with multiple types of wall plug-in adapters, making the Eternal Swan usable worldwide.

The Swan is totally waterproof, as the charger port is practically sealed and there are no moving parts. You can take it in the bath or shower, but be careful of the temperature in a hot tub since it contains electrical components. You’ll probably need a water-based lube, as water will increase the drag on the silicone’s surface. Since it’s fully submersible, you can clean it easily and thoroughly in warm water with antibacterial soap or toy cleaner. A 10% bleach solution also works. My favorite method is adding a few drops of tea tree and eucalyptus oils to a bottle of soap and water—the oils make it not only antibacterial but antifungal and antiviral as well. The Swan comes with gorgeous cigar box packaging, perfect for storing your toy and chargers, and they also provide a black satin pouch for travel.

My Experience and Overall Value

I was so excited to get this toy! I saw it in a sex shop and could barely contain myself, but I couldn’t afford the $200 price tag. No one wanted to send a toy that expensive for a first-time review either, so I thought I was S.O.L. until Uberkinky agreed to sell me one at a discount in exchange for a review. I scored big time. I get so many toys that I often never end up using them past the review, but this one immediately jumped into my favorites. If the price scares you, let me remind you that not only will you save on batteries, but the Swan also provides a 1-year warranty and a 10-year guarantee, just like Lelo—basically, if it breaks in the next 10 years, you get a coupon for 50% off your next Swan vibe of equal or lesser value.

As soon as I got mine, I slipped it in, and OMG, it stays in on its own! And it doesn’t hurt, it’s not heavy, and the external portion isn’t scary huge! I’m so bummed that I don’t have a female partner to try it with, but I have used it for a few different pegging sessions. All three guys loved it, and the only complaint I had was that the angle was a bit too high. When standing with the toy inserted, it points toward the ceiling, making it a bit difficult to get the right pressure when pegging from behind. If the anal receiver is on his back, it works well, although when you thrust, it does try to pull out of you. I used my hands a lot to secure the toy and often just pulled it out and used the bulb as a handle. This method was perfect for a ton of anal stimulation. I wish I could get more use out of wearing it, and I think I will if it’s entering a vagina instead of a super-tight anus.

Speaking of genitalia, it’s a great G-spot vibe when you use the bulb as a handle. I can also see it working well for male solo prostate play when held the same way. I’m usually more into clitoral stimulation than internal vibrations, but the constant hum while pegging was great. The bulb presses right against my G-spot and didn’t bother my pelvic bone like other strapless strap-ons do. Once it’s inside, it’s easy to stimulate the rest of your labia and clitoris with the shaft of the vibrator as well. If this was your only vibrator, you could definitely use it for your clitoris since it’s strong enough, and the tip could provide pinpoint stimulation, but I have a ton of toys more suitable for that purpose.

Thank you so much to the European retailer Uberkinky for providing me with the Eternal Swan at a discount in exchange for my unbiased review. This review is in accordance with all appropriate legal guidelines. If you want to own one of these super fancy, unique strapless strap-ons, I highly recommend them. Remember, the Eternal Swan is not manufactured or distributed in the US, so Uberkinky is a great place to buy, regardless of your country of residence.
