When Tantus sent me a box recently I was expecting some teenie tiny dildos for newbies to prostate stimulation. HA! Instead I got a monstrosity aptly named the Raptor XL
. Tantus also makes a smaller version but both are bigger than my cootch needs.
The Raptor XL is a dildo- meaning it’s intended for orifice insertion. Seeing as how it has a great big ball sac, this particular toy is also safe for anal play. Male or female if you like that “full feeling” and want your holes filled properly, tantus dildosare the way to go.
It is harness compatible since it has a nice wide base that will secure easily in an o-ring. The balls are far enough away from the base that they won’t hinder harness use for strap-on play. They do take the toy from a massive 9″ length to only 5.75″ insertable. It’s crazy heavy though, so you’ll need to support it as you thrust. Size queens and stretchers will love this toy, not only for its size but because the head is well tapered.
It doesn’t have a suction cup for wall use, but the base is sturdy enough to crouch over and mount.
It doesn’t have a bullet hole and the silicone is fairly dense, which will dampen most vibrations, but a strong vibrator like a wand pressed to the shaft or base should provide enough vibes to be felt at least during anal, if not vaginal, play.
As usual all Tantus dildos/vibes are made of medical grade silicone – such high quality in fact that they can touch other Tantus silicone and not deteriorate. The Raptor and the Raptor XL come in orange, black and purple. Mine is purple. The Raptors shaft is a shimmery purple while the head is shiny. Very metallic. I’d say that this is one of the more ‘realistic’ designs yet still isn’t a replica of any cock I’ve seen. It’s quite firm, still flexible but VERY heavy with rock hard balls to boot. The veins along the shaft will provide some texture and the head is quite prominent , meaning you will definitely notice/feel where the head becomes the shaft.
Psst medical grade silicone is phthalates and latex free- totally body safe since it’s also hypoallergenic and non-porous. The best part? As long as you clean it properly between orifices and users it is safe to share! If you are unsure and want to slip a condom over it you’ll need a large one or it won’t cover much. Silicone picks up lint dirt and hair like a magnet so a good rinse is necessary before any play .
You’ll probably want yo use a good amount of lube with the Raptor XL, and I highly suggest sticking with a waterbased lube like IO defense or soothe or Sliquid Sassy Booty. Coconut oil is safe to use for those sensitive to any lubes.
Try not to use a silicone based lube because silicone bonds to silicone and it is likely to cause deterioration of the Raptor. If you absolutely must then please make sure to do a patch test first and watch out for any tackiness that might result.
The Raptor XL was just way too big for my cootch at these dimensions:
Weight: about 20oz (really frickin heavy)
But it wasn’t too big for a few pegging sessions !
My Raptor came unpackaged but this was simply because it was for review. Tantus dildos come in see thru plastic boxes pretty much good for not much else than getting the toy to you and being recycled. Store separately away from all other silicone products with the exception of other Tantus toys.
Tantus supplied the RaptorXL to me in exchange for an unbiased review which is in compliance with all appropriate guidelines. A big thankyou to Tantus once again. They really are one of, if not THE, best dildo makers in existence. You can buy the RaptorXL and the original smaller raptor direct from Tantus or from one of the other retailers by clicking on the banners below which will also me to continue to bring you these videos.
